The planning committee approved the addition of three new events to the Shepherd Sesquicentennial schedule. These events were a Pie Baking contest, Road Apple Bingo, and a Photo Slide show.
The Photo Slide show will be presented on Thursday, August 16 immediately following the opening ceremonies and the ice cream social. Judging for the pie baking contest will take place on Friday.
Participants in the the Road Apple bingo game will be able to buy squares of land on Saturday. Starting at 7 p.m., one or more horses will be allowed to roam free in this section of the field. Participants win when their square is hit with horse manure, sometimes referred to as “road apples.”
